In the last decade, academics and researchers have been flooded with emails from lower-quality and commercial journals to publish in them. As the scientific quality of authors is judged according to metrics such as impact factors, authors are always looking for new opportunities to publish. This situation is an advantage for publishers using unfair practices. If the authors send their work to such a journal, not only do they not have an article in a quality magazine, but they also lose a considerable amount of money.
Keywords:
predatory journals – impact factor – questionable journals – hijacked journals
