Overview

Extramedullary leukaemic infiltration known as myeloid sarcoma is very rare, mostly asymptomatic and remains often undiagnosed. Symptomatic myeloid sarcoma may clinically manifest at the time of diagnosis or relapse of acute myeloid leukaemia. Rarely, it can even precede typical bone marrow manifestation. Myeloid sarcoma of the female genital tract is rare, mostly reported in the ovary and extremely rarely in the cervix and uterus.

Key words:
myeloid sarcoma, acute myeloid leukaemia, female genital tract
