The authors examined the preparation Geladrink in outpatient practice in a group of patients with chronic pains of joint etiology. Patients with gonarthrosis of advanced degree as well as those with femoropatellar irritation without an organic correlate on X-ray picture were included. In twelve of out 15 patients the complaints improved, i.e. the pains decreased and the extent of movements increased, three patients remained without any changes. Although the character of the observation is not that of a double blind study, the effect of the preparation became obvious.
