Many factors can modify nutritional status in cancer patients, including nauzea and vomiting,decreased caloric intake or oncologic treatments. Cachexia is a complex disease characterizednot only a poor intake of nutrients, but also by metabolic derangement. Therefore, medicalhistory, physical examination, estimates of daily oral intake, weight changes and the stage ofdisease must still be assessed.The therapeutic approuches should be individualized andrealistic.Whenever possible, oral nutriton is the method of choice. The objective of the presentedpaper is to submit information on nutrition in oncology.
