Overview
The two submitted case-reports demonstrate how a patient with the impression of completehealth who attended his doctor either within the framework of a preventive examination or onaccount of (an according to him trivial) impairment of erectivity developed within a relativelyshort time serious cardiovascular or metabolic disease. Such a patient may benefit froma responsible approach of a first line physician, because if this doctor does not consider theimpaired erectile dysfunction as trivial and will make a comprehensive examination instead ofgiving mere symptomatic treatment the final diagnosis will be established much sooner andunder conditions more favourable for the further development of the patient’s disease.
Key words:
cardiovascular disease - erectile dysfunction - metabolic diseases.
