Overview

In a series of 10 cases of adenocarcinoma in situ of the uterine cervix, age of patients, parity, contraception, cytological, colposcopical and histological findings, operations and definitive solutions have been analysed. Median age was 37 (24–75), 4 patients were nulligravidae and 4 were hormonal contraception users. Praebioptic suspicion of a glandular laesion was expressed in 3 cases (twice by colposcopy, twice by cytology). In 9 patients the coexistent squamous laesion was concurrently present. In 7 cases histologically positive margins were described and in all these patients repeated or definitive operations were performed.

Key words:
adenocarcinoma in situ – uterine cervix – colposcopy – cytology – positive margins
