Overview

Bone vibrator anchored into the skull (BAHA) belongs to standard hearing aids for the correction of transitional, combined hearing disorder or a unilateral deafness. In order to reach the best possible hearing gain a correct selection of patients is necessary. The patient becomes a candidate for implantation of BAHA on the basis of a complex auditory examination and on the basis on the subjective feeling (perception) of the patient. The quality of hearing rehabilitation and its contribution to the patient is evaluated by following the postoperative results of audiometry and getting information from the satisfaction questionnaire.
