V práci sa analyzuje päť pacientov s rôznorodým postihnutím pyramídy spánkovej kosti -plazmocytóm, cholesteatóm, schwannóm n. VIII a n. IX a glomus jugulare tumor. Príznaky predstanovením diagnózy trvali tri mesiace - 15 rokov. Prevládala porucha sluchu, závraty, bolesť hlavya lézia tvárového nervu. V diagnostike boli najdôležitejšími zobrazovacie metódy - CT a NMR.Okrem jedného pacienta boli všetci ostatní liečení chirurgicky - dvaja pacienti transotickýmprístupom, jeden translabyrintným a jeden infratemporálnym prístupom „A“. Zdôrazňuje sa význam zobrazovacích techník pre včasné odhalenie pyramidálnych lézií, ktoré sa môžu prejaviťminimálnou symptomatológiou.
