Overview
Vacuum compression therapy is a physiotherapy method serving in the treatment and prevention of peripheral circulation, in disorders of metabolism and extremity trophic of different etiology. In occupational medicine the main indications include various stages of Raynaud’s phenomenon from vibrations and the carpal tunnel syndrome. The principle of the therapy is the alternative action of the phase of negative pressure and positive pressure on the treated extremity. The experience of the authors indicate that in patients with Raynaud’s phenomenon from vibrations a substantial diminution of subjective complaints develops after 6 to 12 months of treatment
