Overview
The article summarizes results of the research project focused on the role of the community nurse in providing occupational preventive care. The goal of the grant was to map possibilities of nurses activities in the community care. The research sample was made by citizens and nurses and physicians. Total of 1007 physicians, 1005 nurses and 2022 citizens were addressed in the research. The opinions on the role of community nurses were collected using a controlled interview technique. The SASD application was used for statistical analysis. The classification of the first and second grade was used. Results imply that nurses and physicians realize that services and procedures related to the healthy life style support are missing at their workplace. Also the training of the first aid was considered insufficient. The citizens themselves would appreciate if the community nurse made evidence of the employee vaccination, provided first aid and offered counselling on healthy life style. The citizens perceive shortcomings in informing on health promotion projects at the workplace and also about micro-climatic conditions of the workplace and about the first aid training.
