Overview
The authors examined indicators of the action of free radicals in 30 patients with incipient forms of pneumoconiosis (12 miners, 7 workers from pottery planu and 11 others), in those working with pottery they found as compared with the others an elevated aktivity of superoxide dismutase. The aktivity of superoxide dismutase in the whole group declines with age, the aktivity of glutathione peroxidase rises with exposure. As compared with controls, there is an increased aktivity of glutathione peroxidase, a lower concentration of glutathione and higher aktivity of superoxide dismutase. The results suggest a certain degree of free radical aktivity. To obtain more detailed data it will
