Overview

The author presents the results of revision of therapeutic preparations bearing the symbol „P“ and an analysis of these resultsin particular in relation to the problem of respecting the principles in appendix no. 2 of act no. 48/1977 and associatedregulations. The results revealed that, contrary to regulations, 4.5% of these drugs with a value of Ca 6 million crowns wereprescribed. It proved essential to define accurately the terms „conduct of the diagnostic and therapeutic process“ and „takingcare of“, in particular because it is not possible to delegate powers to prescribe the these preparations to other than specializeddepartments.
