Autoři se zabývají patogenezí kryptogenní fibrotizující alveolitidy (KFA), uvádějí jednotlivé histologické typy dle ATS a ERS, všímají si klinického obrazu KFA a doporučují vyšetřovací program u této nemoci. Dále rozbírají protizánětlivou a imunosupresivní léčbu a další léčebné možnosti (dlouhodobá domácí oxygenoterapie, transplantace a léčba plicní hypertenze). Závěr sdělení se věnuje méně častým klinickým manifestacím.
