Proctalgia fugax je zpravidla zdrojem četných diagnostických a terapeutických nesnází. Příčinu bolestí se podaříodhalit jen výjimečně. Práce popisuje onemocnění 27leté pacientky, která byla vyšetřována pro záchvatovité bolestiv konečníku na chirurgických pracovištích. Teprve doplnění venerologické anamnézy a následné vyšetření prokázalojako příčinu obtíží gonoroickou proktitidu. Onemocnění bylo úspěšně vyléčeno ceftriaxonem.
