Overview
Renal cell carcinoma is a very common tumour with slightly increasing both incidence and preva lence Our role is in early detection of the disease and selecting the most optimal treatment option and surveillance after therapy There are several prognostic factors and prognostic models that allow risk stratification These tools provide infor mation for treatment planning and patient counsel ling The review summarizes the most commonly used prognostic factors of renal cell carcinoma with a focus on prognostic biomarkers
