Overview

The authors describe the course of disease and treatment of cervical lymphadenitis Caused by Mycobacterium haemophilum in an immunocompetent 12-year-old boy. The affected cervical node was surgically removed, the child was treated for 3 months with a combination of four antituberculotics (rifampicin + etambutol + isoniazid + pyrazinamide) and then for 9 months by a combination of 2 drugs (rifampicin + isoniazid). 5ix months after termination of treatment the boy is free from complaints and local or general manifestations of a relapse of the disease.This is the first diagnosed tase of disease Caused by Mycobacterium haemophilum in the Czech Republic.
