Local Application of Heparin - Possibility of its Use in Phlebology

The local application of heparin could be used in the therapy of some inflammatory complicationsof chronic venous disease. The authors present their experiences with application of Lioton 1000 gelin 32 patients with the diagnosis thrombophlebitis superficialis, hypodermitis and with the compli-cations after sclerotherapy. The significant improvement of induration, pain, swelling and limitingof the function was seen after 4-week application of Lioton 1000 gel.
