Summary: The authors discuss findings pertaining to lichen ruber planus on oral mucosae.They present the hitherto used classification and tendencies of its simplification. They discussalso causes focused on drugs as inducing agents. Attention is drawn to immunological findings.Finally the authors describe the clinical picture of different forms.
