Overview
The authors describe the procedure used and results achieved by orthodontic treatment of a bimaxillary protrusion in a 17-year-old female patient. This defect caused an impaired appearance and profile of the face, in particular in the region of the lips. For orthodontic repair of the anomaly the "straight wire" method was used, The active and retention stage of treatment took 17 months. After its termination the dentoalveolar values reached normal levels and the appearance of the face improved.
