The author present several studies which found just about the half of pati-ents complies with prescribed medication.The further presented studies show the patients respect recommendations ofphysicians if they believe they can influence their health and if the recom-mendations fit into their health believes. Further studies show compliance isbetter if the patients is contend with the consultation and if he has thepossibility to take part in making decision about the therapy and to be activein its course. Another obstacle of compliance is the patient can forget therecommendations.Subsequently the author presents several recommendations how to structurethe medical interview to be most effective in influencing the patients compli-ance.
