The authors draw attention to the incidence of eating disorders in boys andto the association of this pathological phenomenon with developmental prob-lems during adolescence. They deal with similarities and dissimilarities ofthe clinical picture in boys and girls and emphasize specific features of thedevelopment of sexual identity. The paper is illustrated by a case-history.
