Overview
The purpose of this studywas to identify limbal stemcells in the culture of humandonor cornea. After standard cultivation procedure we usedmonoclonal antibodyagainst alpha-enolase for identification of stem cells. This antibody serves asa probe for the identification of biochemical marker of stem cells. Using immunofluorescentmicroscopy we identified in specimens -enolase positive cellswhichin vitro but not in situshowed alsosomemorphologic differencesfrom othercellular elements of the culture.
