Malígna hypertermia (MH) je hereditárne ochorenie charakterizované paroxyzmálnym hypermetabolizmom vlákien kostrových svalov. Vznik MH podmieňuje použitie niektorých liekov spravidla počas celkovej anestézie. Bez okamžitej cielenej liečby môže MH spôsobiť smrť pacienta. Autori v článku podrobne opisujú epidemiológiu, patogenézu, klinický obraz, liečbu a genetiku MH, pričom venujú pozornosť aj poradenstvu a situácii v SR.
Klíčová slova:
malígna hypertermia – rigidita maseterov – vápnikové kanále – genetika
