Overview
In this paper we describe an unusual solution to open comminuted fracture of the patella. Our patient was a young lady and we were reluctant to use the disfiguring patellectomy. We therefore decided to save the patella using external fixation as an alternative for open and comminuted fractures of the patella.
Key words:
patella, external fixation, patellectomy.
