Principles and Aims of Therapeutic Rehabilitation of Shoulder Girdle ina Hemiparetic Patient

Overview

The effort to reach early and maximally effective renewal of motoric abilities in shoulder girdle in oneof priorities in the rehabilitation of patients with hemiparesis developed after cerebrovascular attack.A rapid and optimal renewal of reflex vertical locomotion functions appear to be important for a moresuccessful course of always uncertain rehabilitation of intentional acral ideomotoric movements.Individual selection of combinations of individual elements from more kinetic-therapeutic conceptsproved to be more useful than „traditional“ physiotherapeutic methods. Those combinations, whichconsider developmental aspects of human motoric appeared to be especially effective.The strategyin rehabilitation of girdle motoric therefore governs the level of renewed postural reactivity of thewhole body scheme from stabilization and supporting function to developmentally higher, complexlocomotor functions, which require a more sophisticated coordination in vertical sense.The characterof rehabilitation of shoulder girdle therefore simultaneously governs the final quality of patients in allcategories of IDH.
