The diagnostic and therapeutic criteria of the common coccygodynia is presented and related to theauthors personal experience. A special attention is given to the description of a special „dynamic“ Xray technique of the coccyx, developed by the author.A bony anomaly „spicula“ on the dorsal aspectof the coccyx is described. This can be found in 15 % of subjects and may be ralated to the painfulcoccyx.
