Overview
Muscle stiffness has in principle two components – neurophysiologic and viscoelastic. The formercan be identified by electrical activity measured by EMG, the latter by certain resistance whenstretching the muscle. The proportion of the two components depends on the actual condition of themuscle. In this paper various reactions of an electrical activity of a muscle during stretching isdescribed.
