Chronic vaginal dryness in oncology patients

Overview
Chronic vaginal dryness is a frequent symptom in cancer pati ents undergo ing tre atment. A number of both hormonal and hormone‑free local tre atments are currently available. The efficacy of the use of vaginal mo isturisers on the allevi ati on of urogenti al symptoms is comparable with that of local estrogen tre atment, and sho uld be therefore offered to women who do not wish or are contraindicated to use hormone- containing medicati on.
