Overview
The authors describe a newly introduced method of the perioperative care for patients hospitalized in surgical departments. The main principle of the fast track method is explained. It is based on complex and continuous approach of all professional specializations, cooperating in the process of preparation of a patient for a procedure, a procedure itself and a postoperative care. The aim of this method is to minimize the hopitalization times while maintaining the indicated diagnostic-therapeutic procedures.
