Overview
Health insurance medication claims data contain a number of data, from which the information about the correct patient treatment can be derived. For example, three foreign studies demonstrated the identification of suboptimal asthma treatment from medication claims data databases in Canada and Sweden. When identified the physicians should be advised to get acquainted with the appropriate guidelines or with other useful information materials, which worked well in the case of potential drug-drug interactions also in the Czech Republic.
