Reflections on the Indication List for spa carev – the view of Medical Insurance Company

Overview

The communication refers to the change in the use of spa therapy indicated by physicians since the end of World War II in relation to incidence of individual diseases and new therapeutic and surgical possibilities. The spa institutions have acted and act as centers of complex rehabilitation – spa care. It is documented that stress is the main cause of attending the spas. One of the basic tasks of spa therapy is to influence the lifestyle of the patient. A case report is used to show that the spa therapy does not always successfully influence the lifestyle and in spite of that it is repeatedly indicated by the attending physician.
