Overview

An inaccurate translation poses a significant source of confusion even in concepts of healthcare financing. The term „managedcare“ does not express the essence of the phenomenon it describes and so it is with the Czech translation of it. Within attemptsof solving healthcare financing issues, measures a being introduced which may be a part of the „managed care“ phenomenonbut not exclusively. They are components of other healthcare financing concepts as well. These measures usually exist welloutside of what is being called more specifically „managed care“ in the Czech Republic. Similarly, in the future we are going toembrace further measures which may occur in „managed care“ without this meaning that we would adopt the whole conceptor its parts indiscriminately.
