Overview

Dermatoscopy is a noninvasive diagnostic procedure, which is frequently used for the examination of pigmented skin lesions. In some cases, dermatoscopy can be helpful in determining or confirming the clinical diagnosis of many other skin diseases. We offer an instruction how dermatoscopy can be used in the alternative indications (skin infections, disorders of keratinization, hair disorders, capillaroscopy, less frequently examined skin tumors, etc.).

Key words:
dermatoscopy – alternative indications – capillaroscopy
