Lichen Amyloidosus: Case Study and New Therapeutic Options

Overview
The author presents a case of a 50-year-old woman with a few years lasting pruritic small stiff hyperkeratotic skin-coloured papules on the extensor surface of the forearms, arms, thighs and the lateral sides of the thorax and with hyperpigmented papules on the legs. A rare diagnosis of lichen amyloidosus was established on the base of histopathological examination and direct immunofluorescence. The author presents an update of etiopathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment possibilities of lichen amyloidosus.
