Overview

Cicatricial pemphigoid is a subepithelial blistering autoimmune disease affecting the skin andmucous membranes, alone or in combination. Autoantibodies target several different antigens in thebasement membrane zone. Six patients with variable clinical features are described. Histologicalanalysis and direct and indirect immunofluorescence studies were done in all patients.
