Overdenture is used as one of the reconstructive treatment methods for patientswith residual teeth. Considering many advantages this method becomes relatively frequentalternative of prosthodontic treatment. This report discusses different kinds of overdentures,their indications, compares them with partial and total removable dentures and touchesrelations between overdentures and periodontium and briefly refers to their working procedureand a care of them.
