Heroin and pervitin (metamphetamine) are the most often used injecting drugs in the Czech Republic.While we have more possibilities of oral substitution in heroin addicts, oral substitution in pervitinaddicts is not known in our country.High pervitin toxicity and many health and social complications show the neccessity to trysubstitution treatment of pervitin addicts too.We used available drug Ritalin (methylphenidate) which is used for ADHD syndrome treatment. Therules of the methylphenidate safe treatment are described.
