Overview
Herpetické infekcie nezriedka spôsobujú diagnostické omyly, čo následne vedie k chybám v terapii. Postihujú všetky očné štruktúry, hoci najčastejšie sa v každodennej praxi stretávame s herpetickými infekciami predného segmentu oka. Prehľadový článok je venovaný infekcii predného segmentu oka spôsobenej vírusom herpes simplex. Bližšie objasňuje špecifickú patofyziológiu a priebeh herpetickej infekcie, čo veľmi úzko súvisí s klinickými prejavmi ochorenia. Jednotlivé štádiá primárnej a sekundárnej infekcie sú podrobne popísané a zdokumentované fotodokumentáciou z II. Očnej kliniky Slovenskej zdravotníckej univerzity Fakultnej nemocnici s poliklinikou F.D Roosevelta v Banskej Bystrici. Posledné dve časti sú venované diagnostike a liečbe infekcie vírusom herpes simplex. Práve správne určenie formy herpetického ochorenia je kľúčové pre správny terapeutický postup.
