History of instruments for nuclear medicine in the Czech Republic

Overview
The survey of developement and production of instruments used in the departments of nuclear medicine between 1951 and 1990 is given in this article. At the beginning the methods in vitro were used and Research Institute for Nuclear Instrumentation (VÚPJT) had the wide assortment of instruments for measuring the activity of individual probes. Later methods in vivo were used and that meant some instruments were imported. The survey of developement and production of instruments used in the departments of nuclear medicine between 1951 and 1990 is given in this article. In an other table there is given an overview of new methods in the world, which were important for their further use in nuclear medicine.
I have used facts given in the literature and knowledge that I geathered as a former employee of VÚPJT in this article.
