The author submits the hitherto assembled results of the longitudinal study of a group of 121 men – former miners who weretransferred in 1988 from the risk of suprathreshold vibrations on account of occupational disease – diseases of the nerves andblood vessels of the upper extremities. The investigated group was re-examined in 1993 and 1998 after five-years intervals. The nextexamination is planned for 2003. The results suggest a spontaneous regression of original pathological findings of traumaticvasoneurosis in the vasospastic stage and in milder and medium severe motor lesions in the area of the distal portion of the mediannerve after elimination from the risk of suprathreshold vibrations.
