Overview

Medicinal plants and phytopharmaceuticals are still of great interest to diabetics. There is still a general view that they are harmless and help significantly to improve glucose homeostasis and thereby compensate for diabetes mellitus. Even in our geographical zone there are medicinal plants, spices, vegetables, mushrooms, cereals, woody plants and fruits with a hypoglycemic effect, which need to be known and thought about when consuming and making a treatment plan for diabetics.
