Overview
This article describes a case of a 68 - year-old woman, who was examined for nodular umbilical lesions. The origin of these lesions was metastatic gastric adenocarcinoma. The authors provide an overview of current knowledge of skin metastases of the umbilical region (Sister Mary Joseph‘s nodules) and metastatic skin involvement in general.
