Overview
Mosquitoes, ticks and various other types of annoying insects are often carriers of serious and life-threatening diseases, for this reason it is advisable to protect yourself against them. Repellents are an effective protection. The aim of this article is to introduce you to the substances most often used in repellents, to warn you about their correct use and to create an overview of the preparations used in the Czech Republic. Repellents containing DEET, icaridin, IR3535 and citridiol are, when used correctly, effective and safe means of protection against insects.
