Summary

A new sublingual dosage form of fentanyl can provide efficient, rapid and safe relief of breakthrough pain attacks. So far all doses titration and administration recommendations for sublingual tablets are observed this dosage form represents an easy, safe and highly comfortable treatment method for breakthrough pain. Efficacy, safety, tolerance and overall patient satisfaction following the administration of sublingual fentanyl have been demonstrated in several clinical trials.
